- Mouse-out tracking and time spent outside the assessment window
- Dual-screen detection

- Webcam enabled monitoring
- Candidate session recording
- Periodic snapshot capture during the assessment
These insights help you evaluate candidate behavior and maintain the integrity of your assessments.

Results Analyzation Questions
1. How can I download a candidate’s results?
You can download a candidate’s results directly from the Candidate Results page. Open the candidate profile and click the Download option in the top-right corner. You can choose between a Summary Report or a Detailed Report, and also view the report directly in web view before downloading.
For bulk downloads, go to the specific assessment, select individual candidates or use Select All, and download reports in a single PDF (summary report) or export results as an Excel file for further analysis.
2. How can I see the questions and answers to the tests?
On TestTrick, you have full flexibility to review questions and answers. You can view an existing test and open each question individually to check its details. You may also clone any TestTrick test and edit it, which allows you to see and modify all questions and answers.
Additionally, you can create an assessment and attempt the test yourself to experience it exactly as candidates do.
You can also create a test from scratch, add questions from TestTrick’s built-in question library, or include your own custom questions, giving you complete control over test content.
3. How are candidate scores calculated in TestTrick?
In TestTrick, candidate scores are calculated purely based on individual performance, without comparing candidates to one another. The final score depends on the number of correct answers, the weightage assigned to each question, and the total number of questions attempted. For open-ended or subjective questions, if a candidate attempts them, their score is not included in the average score until the evaluator manually reviews and assigns marks. This ensures scoring remains accurate and fair.
4. Why does a candidate’s score seem lower than expected?
A candidate’s score may appear lower due to:
- Incorrect answers or skipped questions
- Time limits causing incomplete attempts
- Higher difficulty or weighted questions in the assessment
Candidate-Related Questions
1. Can a candidate use a mobile device to take an assessment?
Yes, candidates can take an assessment on a mobile device in TestTrick, but it is not recommended. A laptop or desktop provides a better experience, especially for longer or complex assessments, as mobile screens can make reading and answering questions difficult.
If an assessment includes coding or database-related questions, mobile access is automatically disabled, and candidates will be required to take the assessment on a laptop or desktop to ensure proper functionality and accuracy.
2. Can I see how long my candidate took to complete the assessment?
Yes, you can check the time a candidate has taken to complete an assessment.
Additionally, you can also see the date and time on which the candidate was invited and that of completion of the assessment as well.
To see such information, click on the candidate you want to check. All this information will be visible at the top of the page.
3. Can I reduce the number of candidates using the public link?
No, we do not provide this feature yet.
Through a public link, you can invite and assess candidates with the required skills regardless of the CV they can present. This means you will have a large number of candidates applying.
4. My candidate experienced technical issues. How can I reset the assessment for them?
In TestTrick, if a technical issue occurs before the assessment is completed, the candidate can simply restart the assessment using the same invitation link and continue.
If the assessment was marked as completed due to a technical issue, the assessment cannot be reset directly. In this case, you will need to remove the candidate from the assessment and invite them again.
Before doing so, we strongly recommend downloading the candidate’s original results for reference. When re-inviting the candidate, advise them to skip the questions they have already answered, as the same questions may appear again. This helps maintain result accuracy and avoids unnecessary duplication.
5. Why can’t I invite candidates to my assessment?
In TestTrick, you may be unable to invite candidates if your account does not have the necessary permissions. Check with the account owner or admin to ensure you have the authority to send invites.
If your permissions are correct and you still cannot invite candidates, contact support@testtrick.com for assistance.
6. Why is a candidate’s email address not being accepted?
When you invite a candidate to an assessment, our system runs their email address through a system that validates its authenticity. If the address is flagged as fake or likely fraudulent, it will be blocked. Additionally, emails that contain a lot of numbers or random characters are more likely to be flagged as fraudulent.
To prevent this, check if the email address has been typed correctly. If you are sure it is valid and still is not being accepted, contact us.
7. What instructions does my candidate receive?
When you invite a candidate to an assessment in TestTrick, they receive an email with details about the assessment, including its purpose, expected duration, and what to expect during the test.
You can customize these instructions by going to the side menu → Email Settings. Here, you can rewrite both the invite email and the completion email to provide clear, tailored instructions for your candidates.
8. How can I invite multiple candidates at once?
Yes, in TestTrick, you can invite several candidates in a single step. Go to the assessment, download the sample CSV file, fill in the required columns with candidate details, then upload the file to send all assessment invites at once.
9. Can I send results to candidates?
Yes, in TestTrick, you can share assessment results with candidates. After the assessment is completed, go to the assessment detail page, select the candidates, and click Send to email the results. The result PDF contains a summary report of their performance. You can send results individually or to all selected candidates at once.
Other Questions
1. Can I get a notification when a candidate completes an assessment?
Yes, in TestTrick, you receive an email notification whenever a candidate completes an assessment. You can also add team members to receive these notifications for their respective assessments. Ensure TestTrick emails are not in your Spam folder and that the domain is whitelisted by your network if needed.
2. Can TestTrick be used for training or educational purposes?

Creating your own test allows full control over questions and assessments.
