How to Create a Test in TestTrick

Creating a test in TestTrick allows you to build customized evaluations using your own questions or questions from the TestTrick question library.

Step 1: Access the Test Library

Log in to your TestTrick account.

Navigate to the Test Library.

Click Create Test.

Step 2: Test Details

In this step, define the basic information for your test.

Test Name

  • Enter a clear and descriptive name for the test.

Instructions (Optional)

  • Add instructions to guide candidates on:
    • How to attempt the test
    • Rules or expectations
    • Any important notes

Test Time Settings

You can configure the test duration in one of two ways:

Option 1: Set Overall Test Time

  • Define a total time limit for the entire test.
  • Candidates will have this total time to complete all questions.

Option 2: Set Time per Question

  • If you do not set an overall test time, you will be prompted to set individual time limits for each question.
  • The overall test duration is automatically calculated based on the sum of all question time limits.
  • Candidates will only be given the time defined for each question.

Step 3: Add Questions and Resources

In this step, you can add questions and supporting materials to your test.

Add Questions

You can add questions in multiple ways:

  • Create questions manually
  • Add questions from the TestTrick Question Library

Upload Questions in Bulk

TestTrick currently supports bulk upload for Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with single or multiple correct answers.

This helps you add multiple questions quickly and reduces manual effort.

Add Test Resources

  • You can attach resources (such as documents or instructions) that candidates may need during the test.

  • Resources will be available to candidates while attempting the test.

Step 4: Finish Test Creation

  • After adding all required questions, click Finish.
  • Your test will be saved and added to the Test Library, ready to be used in assessments.
