Creating Video Questions in Test
TestTrick allows you to add video questions to your tests, enabling candidates to record their response in video format. Video questions are ideal for assessing communication skills, presentation ability, or role-specific tasks, and are especially useful for one-way interviews.

Step 1: Add a Video Question
In the Test editor (Step 2), click on the Video Question card.

The video question creation page will open.
Step 2: Video Question Type
Choose how the question will be presented to the candidate:
Text Question
- The question is displayed as text description.
- Candidates read the description and record their response as video.

Recorded Video Question
- The question itself is recorded in video format by the test creator.
- Candidates watch the video and then record their response as video.
How to Record the Question
When you select Recorded Video Question, the test creator must record the question themselves.
Here’s how it works:

Record Your Question
- Click Start Recording to begin.
- Speak your question clearly — the maximum recording time is 1 minute.

Step 6: Save the Video Question

- You will see the following options.

Default Score
- By default, every video question is scorable with a score of 1.
- AI scores the response based on the weightage assigned to the question.
Change Weightage
- Adjust the maximum weightage if you want this question to contribute more to the total assessment score.
Unscorable Question
- If marked as unscorable the question will not contribute to the candidate’s total or average score and if AI scoring was enable will get disable immediately.
Candidate Experience
- Candidates see the question as text or pre-recorded video, depending on the format you chose.
- They record their response as a video.
- Re-recording is allowed only if enabled in the assessment settings.
Best Use Case
