How TestTrick Continuously Monitors Candidates and Handles Proctoring Breaches
TestTrick ensures assessment integrity through continuous, real-time monitoring. If any required proctoring action is interrupted, the system immediately responds and guides the candidate to continue correctly.
If a Candidate Stops Screen Sharing
If screen sharing is stopped at any point during the assessment:
- The candidate is automatically redirected to the screen-sharing step.
- They must share the entire screen again to continue.
- The assessment cannot proceed until screen sharing is resumed.
If a Candidate Stops or Disrupts Camera Sharing
If the camera is turned off or permission is interrupted:
- The candidate is redirected to the camera verification step.
- They must restore camera access and ensure their face is clearly visible.
If a Candidate Tries to Exit Full-Screen Mode
- When a candidate attempts to exit full screen:
- A confirmation modal appears asking them to confirm the action.
- Exiting full-screen mode is logged as a security event. Full-screen mode remains inactive (No) on the evaluation page, and this information is shown to evaluators for review.

What Activities Are Flagged During the Assessment?
TestTrick flags candidates when it detects:
- face detection
- Camera is on, but the face is not visible or detectable
- Copy/paste activity (for coding Question)
- Significant Time spend outside the window
- Use of dual or multiple monitors
How Flags Are Used
-
Flags do not automatically disqualify candidates.
They help evaluators:
- Identify unusual behavior
- Review attempts more accurately
- All flags are visible in the candidate evaluation report.
